Gov. Abiodun Urges Investors to Employ People from Ogun Job Portal

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has charged investors and business executives to give employments to those that have registered on the state job portal.

Gov. Abiodun stated this yesterday (Tuesday) during  a dialogue with Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of 31 industries operating in the state on how to have good relationship and make Ogun number one investment destination of the country

The meeting was held at Park In Radisson, Kuto junction Abeokuta.

Abiodun said this was in line with his administration’s aims and objectives to give an enabling environment for investors to strive and create jobs for the unemployed youths in the state.

He said so far over 55,000 unemployed youths had registered at the Ogun State job portal, adding that government would have some certain number of them in the civil service, agriculture and infrastructure or construction.

While advising the Business investors, Managing Directors (MD) and Chief Executives of companies (CEO) to visit Ogun State job portal and give employment to the peoples on the job portal, when needed.

He said this will helped his administration to fulfilled all his electioneering promises made to the good people of the state, if their companies can give direct employment to the applicants on the state job portal.

He disclosed that his administration would soon establish an industrial promotion agency to take care of industrial affairs in the State.

He said, “We will assist in the facilitation of all available intervention funds from the Federal Government through, the Central Bank of Nigeria and monitor compliance with all requirements in order to achieve its objectives. As these MSMEs thrives, big industries will flourish.”

In addition, he said, would provide “a truly one-stop-shop for Big Investors to know about the natural and solid minerals resources of the State and the business opportunities.

“We must put in place deliberate and pragmatic plans to ensure a symbiotic relationship with our partners for continued development.”
