Oyo state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has promised to channel all the assistance provided by the World Bank to tackle poverty in the state.
The governor gave this assurance while receiving delegates from the World Bank in charge of all the portfolio for the state projects.
He assured the World Bank delegates that his administration will make use of all the assistance rendered to the state properly.
The leader of the World Bank delegate, Mr. Foluso Okumadewa,
assured the state government of the World Bank to support the state in order to accelerate implementation on all the projects.
Okumadewa said the state government is ready to put some strategies and action on ground to make sure the project move quickly so that the people of the state can enjoy the results anticipated from each of the projects.
He said the projects that may received the assistance from the world bank include community and social development, Education for all project among others.
