Gov. Makinde’s Aide Visits Oyo CP Ahead LG Election

The Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC), Matters, Honourable  Tallest Innocent on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the state Commissioner of Police, CP Ngozi Onadeko with the view of establishing quality working relationship with the command ahead the local government election coming up in the 33 councils in the state on May 15, 2021.

Hon. Innocent said the visit became necessary in order to familiarise with the commissioner of police owing to her outstanding records since she was deployed to the state and also to work together for the good of the people on the council polls coming in the state.

“The governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has given his words that he will conduct a free and fair local government election in the state and he is going to do it because the governor is a man of his word.

“I want to appeal and solicit for the support and cooperation of the command on the election.

“I also want to urge people of the state to cooperate with the governor in order for him to achieve what he has said, the governor is a true representative of the people of the state.”

Hon Innocent while appreciating the Commissioner of Police for her warm reception on the visit promised to embark on measures such as creating more awareness and sensitisations to have the people well informed.

Speaking, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ngozi Onadeko  thanked Hon. Innocent for the visit, just as she assured the people of the state of adequate security during and after the forth coming local government election in the state.

The Police boss Onadeko who expressed appreciation towards the visit promised to do her best to have a free and fair local government election in the 33 local government in the state.

CP Onadeko urged Honourable Innocent to embark on more sensitization through the media so as to have the people well informed on the local government polls, just as she pledged her support for the commission.

“I want to be proactive in the forthcoming local government election in the state so that what happened in Ekiti and Aba will not happen here. We will do the needful to make sure the election is free and fair.”
