Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Lawmaker in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Olajide Akintunde Emmanuel has assured the people of the state that the victory of Governor Seyi Makinde in April 2019 elections has been settled by God, saying no evil machination from the opposition will succeed.
Hon. Akintunde fondly addressed as AKT by admirers said moves by the All progressive Congress (APC) on the issue was a mere waste of time adding that God has already settled the case in favour of Governor Makinde of Oyo State.
The legislator who represents Lagelu constituency congratulated the people of the state on the victory of the governor at the court of Appeal, assuring that the matter has been settled by God in favour of governor Makinde.
Hon Akintunde while admonishing the people of the state to continue to rally support for the Seyi Makinde led administration against evil machinations of the opposition in the state said much benefits are in pipeline by the present administration.
“I congratulate the people of Oyo State for having a humble and amiable leader like governor Seyi Makinde as the governor of the state. He has been chosen by to lead the people out of poverty, dejection and untold hardship which they have been subjected to over the years. So I urge you all to continue to support this peoples friendly administration.”
Speaking on the recent Appeal Court judgement, the legislator said God has ordained and vindicated governor Makinde on the elections matters adding that no evil machinations from the opposition party will succeed as God already has settled the matter in favour of governor Makinde.
According to him, the judgement by the appellate court was in favour of the election of the PDP since there is a clause in the status quo which means that the original judgement should remain, that means governor Makinde is the authentic governor of the state.
“We are waiting for their next line of action and at the supreme court, the truth remains that our governor is the governor of the state because the votes still count any time and any day. This was also read in line two of the judgement.”
He said the victory is not only for the government but for the people of the state, just as he assured that this government would put smiles on their faces
