Member, All Progressive Congress (APC), Ogun State Hon. Akintunde Armstrong has described the executive governor of Ogun State who turned 60 years as an architect of modern state who deems it fit in transforming the state.
Hon. Armstrong stated this while fielding questions from pressmen in Ijebu – Ode yesterday.
He said the actions of Prince Abiodun have inspired many to dream big, and indeed a leader.
He said,. “You have transformed those lofty visions you have for Ogun State into reality. Smart leaders know what they don’t know. Learning is a constant process throughout life, and it doesn’t stop when you’ve become a leader.
You’ve taught us never to stop looking for opportunities for development, and that we should pass on the wisdom we’ve learned to your people.
“Indeed His Excellency as a good leader, you have gone down the untraveled path, trailblazing in some cases. You are bold in the face of uncertainty and has given us that sincere courage and motivated us to keep striving when the going gets tough.
“In your words, you don’t lead by pointing and telling people someplace to go. You lead by going to that place and making a case, this is what you have indeed shown by example.
“Let me end this with the words of Theodore Roosevelt ” The best leader is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants doing, and the self-restraint to keep from meddling with them while they do it. That’s who you are.”
