Chairman, Lagos All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Babatunde Balogun, has accused the election monitoring committee led Chief Clement Ebri, a one-time Governor of Cross Rivers State, of being biased in carrying out their responsibilities, saying that they left the party secretariat where they ought to be for the supervision of the election process for a hotel (Protea Hotel).
Balogun, while speaking with journalists when he was about driving out of the Protea Hotel, stated that the hotel where the committee members stayed was an extension of the Governor’s office.
He stated that he cannot disenfranchise the 1.5million party members who voted at the governorship primaries election, restating that the primaries was successful.
“The Election Monitoring Committee from Abuja ought to be at Acme discharging their duties but they stayed here (Protea Hotel) without going anywhere. Protea Hotel is an extension of Governor’s office. We can afford to disenfranchise the 1.5million party members who had voted in the election”, said Lagos APC Chairman.
