Group Commiserates With Families of Lagos-Ibadan Tanker Explosion

The National Association of Travelers and Passengers of Nigeria, South-West Zone, has condoled ‎with the bereaved families of those who lost their lives in the recent fire outbreak which occurred along Lagos-Ibadan express way on Thursday, June 28, praying that God should grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The Zonal Coordinator of the association, Comrade Adedeji Oluwole Babatunde said on Thursday in Ibadan that the incident must have left a traumatic state of mind on the bereaved and indeed the general public as they recalled the frequent occurrence of the fire outbreak caused by fuel tankers on roads in Nigeria, adding that the government needed to put all necessary safety measures in place to avoid re-occurrence of such incident.
However, the National Chairman of the association, Alhaji Saadu Kano and the General-Secretary, Comrade Musa Demasco had in an interview respectively advised passengers to abide by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and that of the association to prevent any form of accidents by road, sea air and rail.
The two executive members of the association also highlighted some of the aims and objectives of the association which, according to them, are to organise all travelers and passengers at good and secured loading points, to monitor the entrance and exit of passengers from recognised motor parks nationwide.
