Members of Good Governance Group (GGG) in Ogun State has been advised to maintain their total loyality and undiluted support to Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s led administration in the state.
The advised was made by Hon. Musefiu Lamidi, Special Assistant to the governor on Political Affairs during the 5th year anniversary of the group held at June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto Abeokuta.
Hon Musefiu explained that the Ogun government appreciated the contributions of the members of the GGG toward the success recorded in the last local government election in respective domain.
He called for unity among all members, total support for the governor and to ensure continuity of his administration even beyound 2019.
He commended the members of the group for their perseverance and endorance despite the fact that no salaries was paid for their selfless effort for the past five years is no salaries from anywhere for that five years.
The Special assistant on political affairs explained that governor Amosun had laid down legacies that surpasses his predecessors.
He said they should be ready to work for whoever he presented as governorship candidate in the 2019 general election.
In his own submission, Hon Adeyinka Adebiyi Tajudeen, Chairman, Good Governance Group (GGG), appreciated God for the journey so far since the inception of the GGG.
Adebiyi commended all members for their perseverance and dedication towards the aims and objectives of the group.
He explained that the group first 100 members of caretaker committee set up by the governor on July 8, 2011 to July 20, 2012 in all the 20 local government included the council Chairmen, vice chairmen , secretary and supervisors.
Adebiyi, a former Secretary, Yewa South Local Government and explained that the aims and objectives of the group was to give total support to Ogun State Government led by Amosun.
All speaking, Hon Kolawole Onafuye, Chairman, Ijebu North East local government, Atan Ijebu and Sesan Jekami, Special Assistant to the governor on power and Energy, urged governor Amosun to remember members of Good Governace Group GGG in his appointment.
“We were the political machinery at the grassroot,” He said.
