The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the bye-election for the Gulani/Gujuba/Damaturu/Tarmuwa Federal Constituency of Yobe State for Saturday, 23rd April 2016.
The Federal Constituency is made up of Four (4) Local Governments, namely: Gulani, Gujuba, Damaturu and Tarmuwa; forty three (43) Registration Areas (RA); and 341 Polling Units.
The election is to be supervised by the National Commissioner in charge of the North East geo-political zone, Baba Shettima Arfo.
To man the election, the Commission will deploy: one (1) Returning Officer, forty seven Collation Officers (COs), thirty four (34) Supervising Presiding Officers (SPOs), 341 Presiding Officers (POs), 1431 Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs I, II, III), 242 Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs VP) and 84 Reserve APOs.
INEC recently conducted a number of bye-elections into some federal and state constituencies across the country.
