Herders/Farmers Clash: No Foreigner can Solve the Menace- KWASU VC

The Vice Chancellor Kwara state University Malete, Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah has said non Nigerians can not proffer

solution to incessant clash between herders and farmers in the country.

He called on Nigerians to come together to evolve a strategy that will provide solution to the numerous ethnic problems in the country.

The Vice Chancellor stated this while answering questions from newsmen on the state of the nation at a Valedictory press briefing held in Ilorin over the weekend.

According to him Nigerians must set aside their differences, egoism, parochialism as well as ethnicity and live as united people.

Professor Na’Allah explained that if we are able to resolve all issues it will show our strength and maturity .

He urged the people of the country to embrace peace , adding that every Nigerian is important.

The outgoing VC however advised Nigerians to do everything humanly possible to sustain their commitment as a nation.

Also, the Vice Chancellor Kwara state University , Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah has appealed to members of the Non- Academic Staff Union of Universities NASU, to embrace dialogue in resolving Issues in the interest of the nation.

According to him adopting the method of strike action as a means of resolving problems will affect the academic system in the country.

Professor NaAllah’ explained that averting the idea of embarking on strike action will reduce cultism among students as well as insecurity .

He noted that such criminal tendencies are being perpetrated by students who are idle during strike and do not know what to do with their time.

Professor Na’Allah also called on the federal government to honour agreement and ensure its implementation .

He however said the success and achievement record in the institution in the past ten years could not have occurred but for the involvement of all stakeholders of the institution.

The VC was optimistic that his successor would continue in the tradition of bringing everyone together and on board to record more success.
