Mother,Mama Mopelola, flanked by my humble self, her in-coming Septugenarian Aremo(eldest male child),Oloye 'Lekan Alabi,Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland and the first Culture Ambassador of the National Museum and Monument,Ile Ife(left)and my nephew,Alhaji AbdulFatai Adegoke Ajengbe,Mogaji of Ekerin Ajengbe Chieftaincy Family,Ode Ekerin,Ibadan,Oyo State of Nigeria, during our visit to the house where I was born 70 years ago.

It’s 50 days to our 70th birthday,we, living human beings,all over the world,born that glorious Friday,27th October,1950.Praise be to God,our merciful Creator.

My humble self,AbdulRasheed Akanmu Iko,Olalekan Adegboyega Oyelakin Inaolaji Olanrewaju Gbolagade(Yoruba newborn babies traditionally receive  several names on the 7th day-naming ceremony – from their paternal and maternal lineages, but bear the one chosen exclusively by either their fathers or grand fathers/mothers.),arrived the world, specifically,Ile Ekerin Ajengbe,SW1/131,Ibadan,Western Region of Nigeria, with millions,if not billions of my distinguished birthmates all over the world.

My beloved father was Pa AbdulRahim Ajao Oladosu Alabi, alias “RIGHT TIME”,son of Pa AbdulSalam Alabi Adegbola Oyetunji Olundegun, alias “OWONIWON” and Mama Asma’u Esuu Odunola, nee Oyinlola Ajengbe.

Mother is Mama Mopelola Abeje, nee Omotoso Osotun and daughter of Mama Oyeyemi.

On Sunday,6th September, this year,Mother and I revisited the house where I was delivered on Friday,27th October,1950,after a very long labour, that almost cost her life,Ile Tuntun,SW1/60,Gaa,Ibadan,Oyo State of Nigeria. She was moved out, with the last breath in her mouth,of our home,SW1/131,to where I was born.

The house belonged to my paternal uncle, the late Baba Haroun Durodola, whose corpse remained intact(undecomposed),16 years after burial!(please read the Sunday Sketch and Sunday Tribune newspaper issues of 7th August,1988.)
