Oyo State Commissioner for Local Government And Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Abimbola Kolade has attributed the high level of peace between his ministry and traditional rulers in the state to the working understanding and lay down policies of government between the duo.
According to him, constant and regular interaction with them facilitated the mutual peace adding that they are properly positioned to promote peace and harmony inline with government policies.
“We encourage them to move in line with government policies such that will promote peace and development in their respective areas.”
Hon. Kolade while commending the quality leadership of Governor Abiola Ajimobi on the development of the traditional system in the state explained that government was committed to the wellbeing of the traditional rulers, hence, his committment at ensuring peace and development in the system.
Hon. Kolade who has just been appointed Federal Commissioner, Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), said the mutual understaning between traditional rulers and Governor Ajimobi would continue to advance the course of the system, saying, the Governor holds them in high esteem.
