House of Reps:  Adedoyin, Atunwa, Zakari, Others Pick APC Tickets in Kwara

The Speaker of Kwara State House of Assembly, Barr. Razak Atunwa, and former Minister of State for Health, Princess Funke Adedoyin, were among those elected as APC flagbearers for the House of Representatives elections next year.

Atunwa will vie for Asa\Ilorin West Federal Constituency seat; while Adedoyin will contest election in Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency.

Other candidates that emerged at the APC primaries are: Dr Abubakar Kaninke, Ilorin East/Ilorin South Federal Constituency, Hon. Tope Olayonu, Offa/Oyun/Ifelodun, Hon. Zakari Muhammed, Kaima/Baruten Federal Constituency and Hon. Ahman Patigi (Edu/Patigi/Moro Federal Constituency).

The delegates voted for their representatives in Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency with 846 delegates, Ilorin South/Ilorin East with 689 delegates, Offa/Oyun/Ifelodun Federal Constituency with 1,210 delegates, Isin/Irepodun/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency with 1,268 delegates, Kaima/Baruten Federal Constituency with 634 delegates and Edu/Patigi/Moro Federal Constituency with 1,096 delegates.

While addressing delegates at different venues of the primaries, the Chairman of APC 2014 National Assembly Primary ElectionsCommittee, Chief Harry Osha, advised politicians in other parties to emulate the peaceful conduct exhibited by the APC in its primaries, adding that the internal mechanism devised by the party in the state to pick its candidates made it

easier for the people to choose their representatives without rancour. He also urged the APC leader in the state, Dr Bukola Saraki, to ensure victory for the party in the state and other states of the federation.
