I Won’t Allow Oyo Become A ‘Banana’ State – Gov. Ajimobi


Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has said his administration will always adhere to the rule of law in its policies and actions and will not allow the state to be tagged a ‘Banana’ state or an “animal farm”.

The Governor apparently reacting to public outcry over recent actions of government, said during his Sallah message to mark this year’s Eid-el-Kabir yesterday with the press ,said any state or society that is developing,it is because the rule of law is being adhered to.
He pointed out that effecting positive change as a leader or head of government comes with a lot of persecution,resistance and intimidation but courage is needed to implement whatever policy that be to the overall benefit of the governed.
“A leader must not only be envisioned, but must have the courage to implement that vision. You must do what is right regardless if the noise around you,” he stated.
Governor Ajimobi who expressed gratitude to God for his mercies and kindness towards him and his administration for the landmark achievements recorded in the last seven years describing it as unparalleled in the state.
“In all ramifications we should thank God, He has been kind to us. Our administration has surpassed any other administration in all activities of human endeavor and I believe I could not have achieved all this without the mercies of God.
“What we are celebrating today is godliness, service to humanity. I believe sincerely that I have served humanity”, Ajimobi stated.
