Joseph Idachaba has emerged as the gubernatorial flag bearer of the Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN) ahead of November 16th governorship election in Kogi State.
The Primary election which held at IPAC office in Lokoja on Tuesday, Idachaba was returned unopposed by scoring 41 votes
The Primary was conducted in presence of INEC officers and party’s executives in accordance with provision of Electoral Act 2010 as amended
In his acceptance speech, the candidate of the party, Joseph Idacha commended the party’s executives, delegates and faithful for given the opportunity to him to become the flag bearer of the party.
Idachaba who is a pharmacist explained that his emergence as party flag bearer is a divine call to lead the state to a greater height, saying that Kogi State under the Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN) will be better.
“I have a mandate and my mandate is the foundation of truth. My mission is to make a home of peace and justice,” he stressed
Earlier, the Chairman of the Peoples Party Nigeria PPN, Prince H.D Adeyemi to give peace chance before, during and after the election.
Adeyemi assured that PPN will cooperate with both the INEC and security agents to maintain law and order with the hope that a level playing ground, free and fair election will be allowed.
