Transition Chairman at Ifo Local Government has condemned a viral video of alleged assault on a young lady at Ojodu Abiodun Areas of the Local Government.
Transition Chairman, Ifo Local Government, Hon. Fola Salami made this known during a telephone conversation with our correspondent in Abeokuta over the weekend.
Hon. Salami explained that it came as a rude shock when he saw the video of one of Ifo Local Government officials enforcing the lockdown order with gross inhumane attitude.
He said Mr. Peter Ojiafor was an agent of Covid-19 in Ifo Local Government and that the incident happened when he trying to enforced lockdown according to the state government directives.
Hon. Salami lamented that Mr. Ojiafor attitude does not portray the humane nature popularly preached by Ifo Local Government.
He said, “On this note, I am suspending all officials involved without pay, until further notice for gross and misconceptions.”
While assuring, the public to be aware that all hands were on deck on this issue and whoever is found guilty would be dealt with decisively.
Meanwhile, as at the time of this release, the primary official involved has been arrested for further interrogation.
