The Local Government Pensioners (LOGPAN) in Ifo, Ogun State, has received a donation of 54 plastic chairs, 12 tables and a Bluetooth amplifier from the Transition Chairman of Ifo LGA, Hon Folawiyo Salami.
The Chairman of Ifo branch of LOGPAN, Chief Sikiru Ayilara, said the donation was a promise fulfilled, stating that it is a replication of Prince Dapo Abiodun, executive governor of Ogun State.
“Hon Folawewo Salami, during 2020 End of the Year party, he promised to support us with the items, and in keeping to his promise, today, he handed over to us the 54 pairs chairs, 12 tables and a Bluetooth amplifier.
“With our greys-headedness and God on our side, we have prayed God to please make Salami’s life comfortable, and continue to honour him wherever he may aspire to for he has deemed it fit to honour the aged ones.
“In addition, he also gave us some portion of land in front of our Secretariat for recreation purposes.
“We honour him as one of our ‘Great Builder’. In fact, he has the honour to use our Legacy Hall free of charge for five years on the priority list,” Chief Ayilara assured.
In his short remarks, Hon. Salami explained that the executive seat is meant for taking care of the grassroot and make them comfortable.
