The remains of the Executive Chairman of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Engineer Abdulfatai Oyesanya, have been laid to rest.
Oyesanya died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Ikeja Lagos after a brief illness.
It was learnt that Oyesanya died in his late 60s and his remains were buried In accordance with Muslim rites on Tuesday.
Western Post had reported that the Ikosi Isheri LCDA boss was been battling with undisclosed illness since 2019 which eventually led to his death.
Oyesanya was a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and was first elected Executive Chairman of the council in 2011. He was reelected in 2017 for his second term.
As at the time of writing this report, it was learnt that his burial rites were ongoing at his country home in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
Oyesanya was part of the council chairmen that were invited by the Lagos State House Of Assembly Committee on Local Government Administration for performance evaluation exercise.
The exercise is for all the council chairmen to come and give account of their stewardship for the last quarter of 2019.
He was pencilled down to appear before the committee on the 27th of January.
