The death toll in Ikoyi building that collapsed on Monday has reached 36.
Nine people have been rescued thus far.
The building – a high-rise luxury set of condominiums under construction located along Gerrard Road in Ikoyi an upscale neighborhood in Lagos, collapsed on Monday afternoon.
This comes after emergency workers recovered more bodies from the rubble of the collapsed building.
Rescue operations are still ongoing.
The Acting Coordinator of the Lagos Territorial Office of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr Ibrahim Farinloye said there was only one female out of the nine survivors.
The dead included three females and 33 males, the NEMA boss added.
On Tuesday, a day after the collapse, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu suspended the General Manager of the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA), Gbolahan Oki, indefinitely.
He also ordered a full independent investigation into the incident in addition to an internal review.
