The Chairman, Ilaji Hotels and Sport Resorts, Akanran in Ona Ara Local Government Area of Oyo State, Chief Dotun Sanusi has disclosed his plans to create platforms for the exhibition of raw talents in the sports sector.
This, he said, is aimed at making the youths useful for themselves and humanity.
Chief Sanusi also said the resort has plans to make sure it revives whatever is decayed in terms of sports in the nation by going back to the grassroots with a view of setting the record straight.
He said: “One of the ways the nation can improve is by discovering raw talents and create a platform for them to showcase their prowess in order to make them useful to humanity and themselves.
“Government and the people need to think about how to make things work in the country, Anthony Joshua who is now a celebrity and professional boxer was discovered, trained and given a platform where he became a superstar.
“Leaders and government need to improve on our youths whose talents are wasting away. I am trying to pick them from street to street to discover their talents and make them have a good living through their talents.”
Chief Sanusi who has sponsored so many talented youths in the country expressed confidence that such developments are capable of making Nigeria a haven for success to the youths.
Speaking on his philanthropic gestures, Chief Sanusi said he was inspired by his mother’s philosophy of sharing with other people, adding that anything that makes people happy has always been his passion over the years.
“My mother always liked to share whatever profit she made from her business with other people. I have not witnessed my mother cooking for only her biological children, she will make sure people around her benefit from her profit,” he said.
He said his decision to give back to society was borne out of his desire and insight to put smiles on the faces of the people especially the less privileged through his sweat.
