Not fewer than three articulated trucks loaded with grains, assorted good and several passengers allegedly heading to EKiti State where election is about to take place have been intercepted by the operatives of Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS).
The passengers were said to have been arrested at a Naval base check point, Banda a surbub of Lokoja on Tuesday Night along Abuja-Lokoja highway.
It was learnt that no one has been able to establish where the passengers were coming from, but however claimed to be heading to Okene and Ekiti State.
Some of the sources that were interrogated by WESTRENPOST said, they are going to Ekiti to vote in next Saturday governorship election, while others said they are petty traders in Okene.
It was gathered that some immigrants were said to have produced their PVCs as evidence.
As the time Journalists visited the Command to confirm the story, the operatives of Immigration service are busy interrogating the arrested Immigrants.
When contact, the Public Relation Officer of Nigeria Immigration Service, Kogi State Command , Mr . Olasunkami Salami said that the command was still profiling the immigrants.
He however confirmed that was an arrest of three trailers.
The trucks with registration number XD 1464 LD, SRZ 148 XA and KMC 514 ZB seen parked along Mount Pati Road in Lokoja.
