Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu on Thursday said the Imota Rice Mill will create between 1,000 to 1,500 jobs when completed.He made this known when he inspected the Rice Mill to see the level of work done.
The Imota Rice Mill which seats on almost nine hectares of land out of the 26 hectares of land should be ready before the end of the year , according to Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu.
‘We hope the rice mill will be concluded before the end of the year.We have started conversation around rice producers and within neighbouring states in the South -West.When the mill is completd it can store grains for up to six months.’
Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu while addressing Journalist said the Light Industrial Park will create more opportunities for Dame’s to grow their little production.
Sanwo-olu commended the Imota community for their tolerance and hospitable behaviour. He promised that once the rain stop, the state government will commence the Ishawo and Igbogbo routes in Ikorodu.
