In an unusual gesture, the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has paid a sensational visit to the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
Fayemi received the Minister of Interior who was in company with the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters, Senator Babafemi Ojudu.
Political analysts said the visit was rare because Aregbesola and Fayemi are not known to be best of friends.
According to the analysts, the visit, therefore, is loaded with political undertone.
Aregbesola and his successor in Osun State, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, have been embroiled in a seeming supremacy battle in the state.
The visit is being interpreted in some quarters as a way to seek new friends in the Osun debacle.
However, it was learnt that the Minister was actually in Ado-Ekiti to deliver a lecture at Ekiti State University.
After the lecture, he also visited the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, CON.
