President Goodluck Jonathan and the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, have engaged in a private meeting at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.
The meeting took State House Correspondents and others at the Villa unawares.
General Buhari had emerged at the Villa for the meeting to the surprise of many.
Details of the meeting were unclear last night.
General Buhari had defeated President Jonathan at the presidential poll held last Saturday.
But in a gallant move, President Jonathan had called Buhari and congratulated him on his victory even while the final votes of the election were still being collated.
