The kidnapped Regent of Akungba-Akoko in Ondo State, Princess Oluwatoyin Omosowon, was rescued on Tuesday by security agents.
The reappearance of the Regent threw the state into jubilation.
The Regent, alongside three of her aides, was kidnapped on June 2, 2015, while on their way to attend an event at the Federal University of Technology, Akure.
She was said to have been rescued on Tuesday by a combined team of police and DSS.
Two of her aides had earlier regained their freedom from the kidnappers’ den.
Catholic Priest, Rev Fr. Akingbade, who was also kidnapped, had earlier been rescued.
Three of his abductors were said to have been arrested by security operatives.
The Catholic Priest was kidnapped at the Mission House in Ido-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
