Juju Music Maestro, Dayo Kujore Is Dead


The legendary Nigerian Juju music maestro, Dayo Kujore is dead.

He died in the early hours of Monday.

The Soko Extra Crooner was born on 4th April 1958 in Robiyan, Abeokuta in Ogun State. He would have turned 64 on April 4, 2022.

Many of today’s youths don’t know the value of true music like in the days of musicians like Dayo Kujore.

Late Dayo Kujore’s daughter, Ayinke Kujore affirmed  her father”s death.

The singer reportedly died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Ikeja, Lagos after battling an undisclosed illness.

He began playing the guitar at 10 and rose to become popular for creating a new tune from the Juju genre called Soko music.

Some of his released albums include Elevation, Wisdom, Joy, Easy Life, and the popular Soko Xtra.
