Sequel to the crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State over the suspension of the party’s chairman, Hon. D. I Kekemeke, the fact-finding committee of the party has given another chance to the embattled chairman to appear before it.
The panel chairman, Omooba Abayomi Adesanya, who presided over the meeting on Friday, said the meeting was fixed again believing the embattled chairman would appear before it.
“The panel was set up to invite some leaders of the party who were accused of mishandling, mismanagement of the party funds,” Abayomi said.
Meanwhile, the panel unanimously agreed to give the sacked chairman, Hon. Kekemeke, one more opportunity to appear after several invitations which he has turned down and failed to show up.
The secretary of the fact-finding committee, Hon. Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, said Kekemeke should not see himself as someone who is above the party and who cannot be questioned over any allegation levied against him by party members.
Kekemeke has been severally been invited since the inauguration of the panel on first day of June. It was said that he (Kekemeke) is still parading himself around as the chairman despite the suspension.
