Kogi APC Primary : Aspirant Walks out of Venue Alleges Irregularities

One of the governorship aspirants on the platform of  All Progressive Congress (APC) primary in  Kogi state, Hassan Abdullahi  Baiwa has staged a walkout from the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja venue of the primary election, alleging that the primary has been compromised.

Another aspirant, Babatunde Irukera’s disclosed that the exercise falls short of acceptable norms.

Irukera, however, debunked the insinuation that he refused to show up at the venue of the primary.

The House of Representatives member  representing Dekina /Bassa Federal Constituency Baiwa, said that he could not cope with the level of manipulation going on at the venue.

Baiwa said that he was taken aback when nearly all delegates claimed to be illiterates who cannot read or write,hence officials were issuing them with already customised ballot paper with Governor Bello’s name on them.

He said that all efforts to complain to officials fell on deaf ears while the security officials present chased him away.

On what is next line of action, Hassan Baiwa said he had started a consultation with his supporters and would communicate his decisions in due course.
