The Chief Judge of Kogi State , Justice Nasiru Ajanah has charged the newly sworn-in High Court Judge, Justice Yahaya Adamu to justify the confidence reposed in him by being fair and just his discharge of his duties.
Just as he appealed to the family and friends of the new High Court judge to give him breathing space and should not be a conduit pipe in the discharge of his duty as a Judge.
He also warned him to shun any act inimical to fair, just in the administration of justice in the state, adding to ensure that he must be guided by the oath of office earlier administered on him.
The Chief Judge admonished that there are a lot of temptations, stressing that Justice Yahaya Adamu must close his eyes against all temptations to justify the reposed in him.
Ajanah who was speaking shortly after the swearing ceremony of the immediate past Chief Registrar , Justice Yahaya Adamu who was promoted recently to a position of High Court at Night Complex in Lokoja.
Justice explained that to become a Judge in Nigeria is not an easy task, adding that in the past few months, Justice Yahaya Adamu has passed through all the stages.
He pointed out that he has forward Justice Yahaya Adamu’s name to National Judicial Council as a replacement for late Justice Akogu who died late last year.
On infrastructural decay as enumerated by the Okene Branch of NBA , Justice Ajanah stated that the State Judiciary is living with limited resource available, stating that the Judiciary has just relocated the Koton Karfe High Court which was completely submerged by Flood, while it has also rehabilitated Kabba High Court complex and Ogugu Area Court will soon be rehabilitated .
