Kogi State Police Command has gotten new Commissioners of Police, CP Ali A. Janga as he resumed work in Lokoja.
Janga who is from Abuja was said to be the head of scorpion section of Nigeria Police until his appointment as new commissioner of Police in Kogi state.
This followed the immediate to transfer of the former Commissioner of Police, CP Wilson Inalegwu who was transferred to Police College in Jos Plateau State as Director.
In his farewell speech,the outgoing Commissioner of Police, CP Inalegwu commended the people of Kogi State for being supportive during his brief stay in the State.
Inalegwu also commended all the security agencies for their supportive roles, saying that their cooperation are highly appreciated as the Police Command can not do it alone.
“With their cooperation and support, the State Police Command has been able to curtailed the high tide of kidnapping and other crimes,” He stated.
The Police Boss also lauded the men, officers rank and girl of the command for their wonderful cooperation.
Inalegeu noted that he could not have succeeded with without the efforts of his all his deputy commissioners in the State,stressing he remained grateful.
The command has been able to launched a sensitization programme to enlightening public on Grace Fm radio, adding that another programme has been introduced on NTA lokojo on Thurdays.
He added that the command had a very vibrant media relation and have been relating very well with general public.
He added that there was no horsemen/farmers crisis in the State, stressing that there was no attack neither was there any reprisal attack while hold forth as Commissioner of police in Kogi State.
The outgoing Commissioner of Police eulogized the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his efforts and commitment in tackling the security challenges in the State, saying the governor was very supportive.
However, the new Commissioner of Police, CP Ali Janga commended the out going for his efforts. Saying that he came to Kogi to fight crimes.
He therefore solicited the support of everybody to enable him succeed in the State.
