Kogi State Police Command has arrested Kidnapping Kingpin Ibrahim Musa who kidnapped a traditional ruler, a reverend and later killed the son of the traditional ruler.
The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Ali Janga disclosed this while parading six suspected armed robbers, Kidnappers and cattle rustlers at Police commands Headquarters in Lokoja on Monday, stated that the command will not rest on its oars until criminal elements are sent out of the state.
Janga pointed out that with combine efforts of the operatives of the command and the Special Anti Robbery Squad arrested the suspects from various locations in the State.
He explained that it was during one of such operations that the Kidnap and armed robbery kingpin Ibrahim Musa was apprehended.
He state that a total of N240,000 was recovered of on the suspect.
One of the victims who appeared at the Police Headquarters, the traditional ruler, Obaro of Jakura, His Royal Highness Oba Usman Ajibola Adoga who lost his son during kidnapping saga, said he, the late son and driver were traveling to Lokoja, the State capital.
The Monarch stated that the captors who wore masks spoke Hausa, (Fufude) fulani broken English and Yoruba, stressing that he was subjected to both physical and mental torture.
He added that the abductors demanded for ransom of N60 million and later reduced to N30mllion when he told them he has no money.
A total of N1.1 million was paid by the family member to secure the release of the traditional ruler.
Speaking in an interview with journalists, the armed robbery and Kidnapping kingpin, Ibrahim Must confirmed that he and 6 gang members at large were into armed robbery.
Musa confessed that it as one of the gang member, Shagari that shot and the traditional ruler’s son,Usman Rufai.
