Kogi Police Parades Two Gangs of Kidnappers, Free Victims

Kogi State Police Command has arrested two armed robbery and Kidnapping gangs terrorizing innocent citizens between Ogori/ Magongo and Okene in Kogi Central Senatorial District of the State.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Ali Janga disclosed this while parading 13 vicious and notorious suspects for Armed robbery, Kidnap pong Culpable homicide, Unlawful possession of fire arms Fire arms and possession of substance suspected to be Indian hemp.

Janga explained that with adoption comprehensive crime prevention detective strategies and other operation through the intensive patrol raids of identified criminal hide outs ,black spots and flash points, conduct stop and search across the state, stressing that tremendous successes have been made.

He pointed out that suspects were arrested at various locations in the state through intelligence report that rate of Kidnapping was increasing along Okene/Ogori/magongo road  and Okene Lokoja axis.

The suspects are Adamu Lawal ,Sani, Mohammed, Haruna Musa Abdulmalik Adinoyi, Ilyasu Danjuma Okafor ,Ojo Isah all arrested for kidnapping and armed robbery.

While Ebeh Musa, Ameh James, Abel Abdul, Thomas Wada, Ayuba Musa was nabbed in connection with culpable homicide and one Paul Stephen who was arrested with 17 bags of substance suspected to canabis sativa (India hemp).

According to him, there was an intelligence report that Obajana, Ogori, Okene Lagos road was no longer save for unsuspected motorist, noting that the detectives attached to Akpafa and Federal SARS carried out intensive stop and search.

The Commissioner noted that the suspects were intercepted and arrested in an Ash colour Cphones, E salon searched the  car and recovered the sum of N2,000,000 cash and cell phones.

The other notorious armed and kidnapping gang were arrested along Okene axis after kidnapping one Umar Yahaya and a known Pastor son.

Items recovered are N2,000,000 cash, Two Handsets, One Ash colour Carina Salon Car, one pump action rifle, one single barrel gun, two locally made Pistol, four Live cartridges, two masks one Uniform, one motorcycle, 17 bags of substance believed to India hemp.
