A Lagos State House of Assembly aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Kosofe Constituency 2 bye-election, Hon. Abiodun Salami, has debunked reports that he withdrew from the race, saying that he is committed to clinching the party’s ticket when the time comes.
Salami is currently the Assistant State Publicity Secretary of the APC in Lagos.
In a statement issued by his Media Office on Monday, Salami stated that he did not at no time discuss with anybody on the issue neither did he withdrew from the race or intend to.
” It has come to our notice of the purported withdrawn of Hon Abiodun Musiliu Salami from the race to fill the vacant seat vacated by the demise of Hon Tunde Buraimoh.
” We wish to equivocally state that Hon Abiodun Salami did not at no time discuss with anybody on this issue neither has he withdrawn from the race or intend to”
” Let it be sounded out that Hon Abiodun salami is committed to his dream of serving the good people of kosofe constituency 2 by occupying this seat.
” In actualising the kosofe constituency 2 of our dream, bringing dividend of democracy closer to our people and keying into the THEME project of his Excellency Babajide Olusola Sanwo Olu (the governor of Lagos state) form the basis of his candidature.
” We wish to assure all his well wishers and the masses that his in the race not for himself but to provide sound leadership and direction.
” We further assure all of his steadfastness and commitment to clinching the party ticket when the time comes and no one should be bothered with the noise going round”, said the media office
