The Kwara State Government has announced a new second term vacation date for all primary and secondary schools in the state so as to accommodate the period for the general election, which have been fixed for March 28 and April 11,2015.
To this end, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Alhaji Saka Onimago, has directed that all primary and secondary schools in the state should proceed on vacation on March 25, 2015.
The directive was contained in a statement signed by Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed, Director, Quality Assurance Bureau on behalf of the commissioner.
According to the statement, the Commissioner said the amendment in the state school calendar was informed by the forthcoming general election in the country billed to hold on March 28 and April 11, 2015.
Onimago, therefore, directed all Principals and Head teachers to effect the necessary adjustments in their academic activities to ensure minimum loss on the part of students.
