Christians in their hundreds from various denominations across Kwara State joined prayer and march against insecurity and incessant killings of Christians in Nigeria.
The programme was held at Saint Barnabas Cathedral on Sunday evening.
The prayer and possession was in line with the directive from the Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN) Leadership who called for three days fasting and prayer starting from 31st of January to 2nd of February, against the insecurity menace facing the country.
Kwara Baptist Conference President, Rev Victor Dada led prayer on God’s righteousness been made manifest in the country.
Rev James Olawuyi of Emmanuel Baptist Church led prayers on strange alters used against churches and prayed against all Goliat tormenting the church to be silent by God almighty.
He prayed for Victories for churches nationwide and beyond.
Similarly, Kwara State vice Chairman, CAN, Rev Sunday Adewole of Saint Barnabas Cathedral Sabo- Oke read the statement for the special programme lamenting how Christians have been abducted and killed in brutal ways in the North-east of Nigeria and other states.
The former Kwara, CAN, Chairman, Professor Timothy Opoola prayed with the congregation using Hosea Chapter 1:7.
