Kwara Deputy Governor, Wife Test Positive for COVID-19

The Deputy Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the state’s Technical Committee, Mr. Kayode Alabi, and his wife, Mrs. Abieyuwa Alabi, have tested positive for COVID-19.

They both underwent the COVID-19 tests on Monday after showing slight symptoms of the virus.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor/Spokesman, Kwara State Technical Committee on COVID-19, Mr. Rafiu Ajakaye, in a statement on Tuesday, said the results of their test showed positive.

According to his statement, “The second couples are very stable and in high spirit, and are now undergoing standard management protocols supervised by the government’s medical team.

“Immediate contact-tracing and tests, among other safety protocols, are being done for persons who have met with the couple in the past few days.

“ The government wishes the second couple and all others quick recovery.”
