Kwara Gets N3.09bn For June Allocation

Kwara State Government has received a total sum of N3.09 billion as allocation for the month of June.

The breakdown of the allocation includes (net) statutory revenue allocation of N1.99 billion; Value Added Tax of N934million; Exchange Gain of N157million; and Excess Bank Charges of N6.35million.

The 16 local government areas got a total sum of N2.14 billion as allocation for the month.

This was contained in a statement signed by Commissioner for Finance and Planning Mrs. Olasumbo Oyeyemi a copy made available to Western Post on Saturday.

According to the statement, the state government has paid a total sum of N2.8 billion as salary and pension, gratuities, subventions to tertiary institutions, and allocations to government’s ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs).

While salaries and pension gulped N2.25 billion, the state paid N100million as gratuity, N127million as monthly subventions for the tertiary institutions, and N335.8million as allocations to various MDAs.
