The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Friday excluded essential workers from the imposed 24-hour curfew.
The Commissioner for Communication Harriet Afolabi-Oshatimehin in a statement on Saturday disclosed that those covered in the exemption are health workers, journalists, petrol station workers, and bankers.
The statement stated that “Such persons would only be accorded such privilege if they present their valid (workplace) identity cards identifying them as such.”
The government regrets the inconvenience the curfew may cause the citizenry but it is necessary to maintain law and order at this critical time.
