Governorship candidate of the Accord Party in next month’s general election, Rashidi Ladoja has promised the establishment of tertiary institutions in Ibarapaland just as he assured them of standard microfinance banks to boost commerce and agriculture in the area.
Ladoja, who gave the assurance in a statement from a member of the Accord media team, Mr. Toyese Oladejo, regretted his successors had failed the state.
The Accord Party candidate who was received by an excited crowd in cities like Alagba, Ayete, Asunara, Tapa, Idere, Igboora, Lanlate and other cities in Ibarapaland averred that his administration would pursue policies and programmes capable of adding value to their lives without placing burdens on them. He lamented that it was only the infrastructural facilities like road, schools and electrification that were still in place as successive governments had failed to improve on them, let alone putting new ones in place.
Ladoja insisted that Accord government would not owe workers, but would rather improve their welfare. The party flag-bearer insisted that he would restore happiness and life abundance to the state from this year with a well articulated programmes and policies.
He used the occasion to officially present all the party’s candidates for the Federal House of Representatives election and its senatorial candidate for Oyo South, incumbent Senator Olufemi Lanlehin amidst thunderous applause from the crowd who waited patiently to receive the campaign train in the wee hours of the day.
