Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart in Oyo State, Hon. Taiwo Oluyemi has declared that the defection of Senator Rashidi Ladoja to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will bring an end to the lingering crisis rocking the party for over some time in the state.
Hon. Oluyemi made the declaration last week in Ibadan.
According to him, the development would pave way for the peace and rapid development of the party and also return aggrieved members of PDP to the fold to form a formidable party.
“We are a strong and resolute party, we will send APC parking in 2015. It is becoming more realistic that PDP will hold the centre in 2019”.
Hon. Oluyemi who was Deputy Speaker, Oyo state House of Assembly between 2006 and 2007 said his ambition to vie for House of Representatives in the 2018 election to represent Ibarapa East and Ido Federal Constituency was borne out of his good intention to improve the lots of people of the area and contribute meaningfully to the people.
He said his first experience in the House of Representatives would help him perform better this time.
Assessing the administration of president Muhammadu Buhari in the last three years, he said meaningful development had not been on ground as expected adding that this has clearly shown that he was not prepared for the task before taking up the job.
“That is the reason we are experiencing a very tough situation in the country”.
