A Lagos-based group, Save Lagos Group (SLG) has cautioned the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu to stop over heating the polity by asking people to prepare their charms and other native powers for the 2015 general election.
The group urged the security agents in the country to keep vigilance on the All Progressives Congress(APC) chieftain over the statement, saying that all the recent statements credited to the leaders of the main opposition political party should not be treated with levity hands as 2015 elections draw nearer.
The SLG also insisted that the APC chieftain had been preaching violence and raising frivolous allegations against the political opponents and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
It advised Senator Tinubu not to see the 2015 poll as a do-or- die affair as preached by their new bride, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in 2007.
River State Governor and Chieftain of APC, Governor Rotimi Amaechi recently declared that if the 2015 elections were rigged, his party would not recognise the outcome and would go ahead and form a parallel government. The position was allegedly was corroborated by the party through its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
Reacting to the statement, the group, through its Convener, Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaiman, in a signed statement a copy of which was made available to newsmen in Lagos Wednesday, stated that the statement credited to the National Leader of the APC during the last week second term sworn-in ceremony of Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola was made out of bad belle and inciting violence
before, during and after the 2015 general elections.
Comrade Sulaiman who strongly condemned Senator Tinubu for the statement, advised the former Lagos State governor to learn about decorum in politics, saying that the group sees the statement as misleading, violent, unpatriotic, evil, barbaric, anti-people and undemocratic tendencies on the part of main opposition party and its leaders.
