Lagos Lawmaker Urges Lagosians to Support Sanwoolu, Hamzat Administration

By Okunade Adekunle, Lagos

A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Segun Olulade, has implored residents of the state to support the administration of the newly sworn-in Governor of the State, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu and Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, with a view to achieving a greater Lagos.

In a statement issued on Wednesday shortly after Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat took oath of office, the lawmaker who is representing Epe Constituency 2, explained that only the supports and cooperation of Lagosians would make the new Governor and his Deputy implement their programmes and policies successfully.

While congratulating Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat on the commencement of their administration, Olulade added, “It is a new chapter today in Lagos State. A new administration has taken over to oversee the affairs of the state for the next four years. I rejoice with the Governor and his Deputy, Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat respectively.

“With the coming of Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat, Lagosians are about to witness a turn around which will take us to a greater Lagos. Having these two intellectuals at the helms of affair, Lagosians can be rest assured that the State will witness a new style of governance that will be accessible and carry everyone along.

“I am calling on every Lagosian, young and old; male and female; professional and non-professional; technocrat and artisan, and all stakeholders to join hands with the new administration so that we can experience a new and the real Lagos of our dreams.”

Olulade concluded, “Without your supports and cooperation, it will be very impossible for the new administration to achieve any meaningful result. So let’s support them with our prayers for them to succeed and achieve that greater Lagos.”

It will be recalled that Sanwoolu and Hamzat were sworn-in at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) by the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Opeyemi Oke, this morning around 11:30am.
