Lagos Police Declares Michael Adah Wanted Over Homosexual Act


The Lagos state police command has declared one Michael Adah (M) who lives at 11 Olaniyi street, Abule Ogba, Lagos wanted for alleged homosexuality.
Adah declared wanted when people in the community caught him and other suspects engaging in a homosexual act.

Through some supporters in the community, he was able to escape with minor injuries
In Nigeria and under the secular criminal laws carries a maximum punishment for same-sex sexual activity is 14 years’ imprisonment.

The Same-Sex Marriage Prohibition Act criminalises all forms of same-sex unions and same-sex marriage throughout the country.

The command in a statement obtained by our correspondent stated, “This office is investigating a case of homosexuality and sodomy against you. You are requested to report on April 7, 2016 at about 11:15 am hour. On arrival, ask of Sgt Augustine Ayodele.
“Please note that this investigation is a fact-finding and to shed light to the allegations raised. Your cooperation will be highly appreciated.”
