Lagos is Shut Down for Sanwoolu’s Inauguration

The newly Sworn-in Executive Governor , Mr Babajide Sanwoolu, walked into the inauguration ceremony venue at about 10:35am where he was saluted by the guards before walking to greet dignitaries at the podium.

About 10:30am, the newly Sworn-in Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, stormed the inauguration ceremony venue and took his salute from the decorated guards who put on red ceremonial suit and black trousers.

Immediately after Hamzat took the salute, he went directly to pay homage to the Wife of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who sat beside the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt (Hon) Mudashiru Obasa.

Hamzat , who put on white “Agbada” with powered blue cap went straight to greet the Second Republic Governor of the State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande.

As at 10:40am, the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire Miracle (MFM), Dr Kolawole Olukoya, was called upon to gave the opening prayer while the Chief Imam of Lagos gave the Muslim prayer.

At exactly, 11:23am, the Chief Judge of Lagos, Hon. Justice Opeyemi Oke, sworn in the Executive Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu while the Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, took his oath of office and allegiance at exactly 11:15am.

Sanwoolu and Hazmat become the 15th Executive Governor and Deputy Governor of Lagos State.
