LAUTECH: Workers  From Osun Origin Will Be Fairly Treated, Says  Gov. Makinde

Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Mankide has assured Osun State indigenes working at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso that they would be fairly treated after state finally secured the sole ownership of the institution.

Governor Makinde gave the assurance while participating on a monitored interview programme on a private FM Station in Ibadan

The Governor, who phoned – in into the programme, appreciated his Osun State Counterpart, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for his cooperation which leads to an amicable resolution of the ownership issue.

Governor Makinde while charging the workers of the institution irrespective of their states of origin to continue to work to their utmost capacity, also promised that he would show deep commitment to the development of the institution.

The long time LAUTECH ownership dispute between Oyo and Osun state governments was finally resolved by the Nigeria University Commission on Friday, resulting in the cancellation of the joint ownership of Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH ) and Ladoke Akintola College of Health.

Consequently, the ownership of LAUTECH was transferred to the government of Oyo  State while the Osun State Government became the sole owner of Ladoke Akintola College of Health.
