A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Olawale Abdussabur representing Mushin Constituency II, has identified his loyalty with the National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, saying he remains the father for all.
Abdussabur made the declaration in a media chat at the Conference Room of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Alausa, Ikeja.
In his speech during the press briefing, Abdussabur who is the Chairman House committee on Home Affairs, believes “where a man stands in the process of history is what makes or mars him.”
The lawmaker stressed, “Recent events in Mushin LGA and Odi-Olowo/ Ojuwoye LCDA are quite a cause for concern for the party, as such in the interest of the party, our leaders and my constituents , and in ensuring continued peace, unity and progress within the party and constituency, it is my wish to align with the wish of the national leader of our great party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“In this honourable House of Assembly, I do not represent myself. I do not represent the good people of my constituency, I was only pushed forward to represent their interest here because we can’t all be here, and it is only fair that whatever I do should be whatever is in their best interest. Ladies and gentlemen, in the light of this, I stand with my people in respecting the decision of my party and our respected leaders ably led by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at this trying moment,” said Abdusabur.
He therefore appealed to all warring groups to toe the line of peace, saying everyone who is aggrieved should come together for the commin good of all. He added, “A part, no matter how vital cannot be greater than a whole. Acknowledging the supremacy of the party is a characteristic of a decent party man.”
Abdusabur added that Mushin Empowerment Foundation, which he co-founded some years back, had strongly thrown its support with Asiwaju Tinubu, saying ‘I have found to the extent of telling Dr. Banire that the war he is waging is unbecoming of a good Muslim.”
Meanwhile, since the aborted primaries held at Teslim Balogun Stadium, there had been political impasse in Mushin Local Government and Odi-Olowo Local Council Development Area of the State over who would call the shot in the area.
This had led to some APC supporters from Mushin and Odi-Olowo calling for the expulsion of the National Legal Adviser, Dr. Muiz Banire from the party over alleged anti-party activities.
