We Will Make Staff Welfare Our Priority, Says Igando/Ikotun Council Manager



The Council Manager, Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area, Mr. Samsideen Odeleye and the Council Branch Chairman, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Adesina Arowosafe have promised the entire workforce of the Council solid welfare package.

The duo stated this at the Staff General meeting held at the Council Secretariat today.

In his keynote address, the Council Manager said he will continue to present issues that have to do with staff welfare before the Chairman and Executive Committee members for urgent approval, assuring the staff of a regular payment of their monthly impress.


The Council Boss assured the staff of his maximum cooperation at all time, noting that every of their complain should be channelled through appropriate quarters.

Odeleye enjoined staff to always be in attendance at every meeting, urging them to be at their duty posts as directed by their Head of Departments and Units at all time.

He reiterated the Local Government Service Commission message on staff seeking approval for study leave and additional qualifications, saying that letter of approval must be submitted before the commencement of any study whatsoever.

Earlier in his welcome address, the NULGE Chairman appreciated the Council Manager for his undiluted managerial skills to bring sanity to the administrative system of the council since his redeployment to the council area.

He said his team will continue to take staff welfare their priority, stressing that staff Welfarism shall never be compromise during his tenure as the Union leader.

He assured the management team, staff cooperation in their various Departments, Units and Sections across the Council.

The Immediate Past Branch Chairman of the council, Comrade Idris Gasali commended the NULGE Executive for their proactiveness to staff affairs.

Gifts was presented to the first five staffs to be in attendance at the meeting for their punctuality.
