The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), has unveiled the fees for the Chairmanship, Vice and Councillorship forms for the forthcoming local government elections in the state.
This was made known in the Guideline For the Elections issued by the Chairman of the commission, Hon. Justice Ayotunde Phillips (rtd), on Saturday.
LASIEC fixed N150,000 for Chairmanship form, N100,000 for Vice Chairmanship and N75,000 for Councillorship.
The state electoral body, in the guideline, said candidate for the position of councillor must be nominated by 10 registered voters in his ward, adding that candidate for the position of chairman must be nominated by 20 registered voters in his local government or local council development area.
It further cautioned political parties not to make abusive and inciting statements during campaign, adding that political rallies should focus on party manifestos and programmes.
LASIEC urged candidates and stakeholders to strictly adhere to all COVID-19 existing regulations and rules in the state during campaign.
