LG Polls: Aide Admonishes Oyo Residents To Cooperate With Gov. Makinde

    The Special Assistant to  Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) Matters,  Honourable Tallest Innocent has admonished politicians, stakeholders and people of the state to cooperate with the state government on its plans to organise a successful Local Government (LG) election in the state.

    Hon. Innocent gave the admonition in a chat with Western Post in Ibadan while speaking on the plans and efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde to achieve quality LG election in the state.

    According to him, the state government has been working very hard to ensure all apparatus for the local government polls are put in place in order to achieve the objectives.

    “The governor is doing everything possible to ensure  standard, free and fair election such that would give equal opportunity for all to participate.”

    Speaking on the activities of the chairman of the commission, Aare Isiaka Olagunju (SAN), Hon. Innocent commended his efforts especially on his courtesy visit outreach and other quality programmes he has embarked upon since became on board as chairman of the commission.

    He expressed confidence that efforts of the OYSIEC leadership will no doubt bring a  level playing ground for stakeholders and people of the state on the local government election.

    Hon. Innocent commended  Aare Isiaka Olagunju for reaching out to the people, various institutions,  and party stakeholders via his  courtesy programne, aimed at familiarising and assuring them on the commitment and preparedness of the state governor on the local government election all.

    “I  want to assure you that the election will hold as said by the governor, because the governor is a man of his words. The local government election is a good thing that will happen to the people of the state, because it is the closest government to the people at the grassroots”.

    Hon. Innocent then urged the people to come out to vote for their choice candidate when the elections finally holds, as their votes will count.
