Long Queue In Ibadan As Motorists Struggle To Get Fuel

    By Richard Thomas, Ibadan

Motorists in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, are now queuing for several hours at filling stations to get the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) as a result of the scarcity of the product in the state and the country in general.

The development has forced commercial motorists to increase transport fares as many of them who could not get PMS to do business now stay out of the road.

Some motorists who are desperate to get petrol keep vigil in some filling stations.

Speaking with Western Post on the issue, Mr. Lawal Kazeem,  manager of Emperor filling station in Ibadan said the development was caused by importation of bad fuel into the country adding the development did not in any way affect the pump price of the commodity.

He said their filling station still sells fuel at N165.

According to him, efforts are on by the Federal Government to address the development, just as he urged motorists to be more patient.

Kazeem urged Nigerians to be patient while government addresses the development.
